Interior lights

OK, so I bought the interior lights from superskoda/kopacek. Boot lights swapped over OK and look good. 

So I come to do the interior courtesy lights. 

Remove the cover at the front, pull out old build, push in new light plug. 'crack' bulb mounting detaches from board and one piece drops into car, no no bulb can be installed!! Feck!! 

So I try with the other side, bulb out, plug in 'gently' all is good, except how do I get the cover back on? Led bulb assembly is about 2cm square, hole in light about 1cm diameter!, won't fit under the cover. (see first pic) 

Then on to the back-cover off, three bulbs in place, how do I replace them with the unit in second pic? (AA battery for scale)
