Just bought a new kamiq. I’m using CarPlay 100% of the time, and I noticed that when I use Apple Maps, the digital cockpit will also trigger the Skoda maps at the center. This is completely useless since Škoda maps will not even give me directions or the same destination that I have on Apple Maps. It will just override the info I have displayed on the cockpit, and show the maps for nothing. What gives? Is there an option to deactivate this?

As far as I know there’s no way to disable this. I just use the steering wheel buttons to return to my usual info screen which is overall driving data (distance travelled, average speed, mpg etc).

I know… but I don’t want ŠKODA maps to be triggered in the virtual cockpit every time I start a navigation on Apple Maps using CarPlay.

You have no choice, apart from scrolling to a different screen as has already been said.
