Hi folks,

 

My MK2 fabia has a fault again. The instrument cluster greenlight turns off when the engine is on. It works when just on battery. This means no speedometer or rev counter, and and warning lights. 

 

This has happened before, but rectified itself. 

I'm about to try disconnecting the battery for a few hours, but keen to hear any other suggestion.

Have you checked the voltage of the battery while the car (and the alternator) is on?
