Featured Replies

My Febi gearbox oil has arrived 3 litres of it,, I’ve heard the numbers 2.6ltr and 2.3ltr do I not just fill it until it just dribbles out the fill hole ?? Or is the right amount  needed to be put in ?? Or am I just misinterpreting the amount ?? and you do just fill it until it comes out and the litres figures are just so I know how much it should take 🤣🤣

thanks peeps,,

I’m such a numpty at times and I’m sorry for the stupid questions 🤣

Depending on your box you will need to fill via the fill plug or reverse gear switch.

A hot box will drain easier, have a good drive beforehand.

Ensure your fill plug/reverse gear switch can be removed before you drain the box.

I can't comment on the quantity without knowing which gearbox you have.

Sorry mate always forget the main points 🤣🤣,,, 2010 2.0 ltr vRS 6 speed box CEGA engine not sure on what the box is though

usually a manual box is just fill to level plug.

Make sure the car is level and remove the level plug first and see if any comes out, you can always feel for a level with your finger and also measure what comes out as a base line.
