Door Electric Issues

Featured Replies

My 2010 Estate has developed an annoying electrical issue with the drivers front and rear doors. The Loom from the A Pillar to the drivers door broke and that has been repaired but the drivers side rear door electrics (Window, Lock , Light) have also stopped working.

Carista brings up a fault code of 01334 -Door Control Module; Right Rear (J389).

I have changed the control unit for a 2nd hand one from a scrapper but it's not fixed it. The cables from the main body to the door are fine also.

Has anyone had this fault before and got a solution?

Maybe you need to check the loom in that rear door to make sure that has not suffered the same fate, don’t rule out the front door still as it controls the rears and others from the drivers door.

Maybe take the door card off and check electrics are reaching the door controller before assuming it’s that again ?

There's a communication wire that goes (only) from front right to rear right door modules, which I think may be broken.

It connects pin 10 of the 20-way connector at each module, via pin 19 of each 28-way door disconnect.

Ideally you'd  disconnect that 20-way at each of the right side door modules, and check continuity from pin 10 of one to pin 10 of the other.
