Have this code, dash display gone crazy and car will not start can not lock remotely. All fuses ok.  Any ideas?

A weak battery would be my first guess...

 

Can you confirm what car you have? Your profile mentions a 2008 Superb which would be a MK2 rather than a Mk3 and your recent posts are regarding a MK2 Octavia :)

Hi, thanks for replying.  Yes in my confusion I put MK3, but as you mentioned my car is indeed a Superb MK2, as for the MK2 Octavia that was a question I raised for my eldest Son who owns that car.  I dont know why the battery should be weak as its not that old, but thats what my youngest Son said it could be.  So he then set about and jumped the car and now at this point its ok.  The battery is a Hankook of the correct size and amp hrs, are these batteries a reasonable make for reliability etc?  Thanks and Regards.
