Budget DAB radio upgrade, 2010 Fabby

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have an old 2010 Fabby run around rattletrap which gets me from A to B.  Reliable old thing, with 110000 on the clock.

She has her original FM radio up and running, but with the milage I still do I'd like a few more radio station options.

Given this old girl's age and general scruffiness I'm not looking to fit any pricey stuff to her, but I was wondering if anyone had accomplished adding some dab channels to one of these with a bare miminum outlay and difficulty.... something along the lines of a h8dden adapter round the back of the radio?

Might be asking far too much.... but anyone have any advice?  I've about £100 to spend on this. Any more and I'll gaffer tape a hand held cheap recgargeable dab radio to the steering wheel instead! 😉

Nice one.  I have an aux cable on order to try that out: have never used the aux in,and since the plug in power adapter is very dodgy I may be onto a loser with access via the port between the seats.  That would defo be the simplest option though 👍

I was wondering if there was an option that allowed using the standard radio controls on the swing radio, just allowed it to 'see' some dab channels?
