Hello All,

 

I recently bought this car and have since realized the cigarette lighter (12v) has no power going to it, checked the fuse box and there is no fuse there at all.

 

I've looked at loads of diagrams online and in the manual but none specify which fuse is required for slot 44 (or any of them by the looks of it)

 

Does someone have a diagram that includes the fuse ratings please?

 Please note - I am not a mechanic or expert in anything.

VW don't seem great with fuse locations, or getting the Owner's Manuals to full English.

 

If you wait @varooom will probably be able to give you the correct information, I've some but not checked if it's correct to my wife's 2015 Fabia SE.

 

Whether the following post relates to your car I don't know but it reminded me of fuse location 44, see the last two paragraphs here and photo. -

Here should be all the engine bay and internal (SC) fuse assignments, as there are differences in 2015, you have lots of pages to read.

SC44 = 15Amp

Thanks @varooom, I've stolen a copy of that to try to marry up to my wife's car sometime in the future or no doubt before when the when the need arises.

A good idea, seems a shame to not have the ratings in the customer manual.

Very annoying, not as much as wrong/different locations and if you knew the amperage or colour you could also make more sense of it in right or wrong/different locations.  IIRC (!!  ??) the earlier Owner's Manuals gave more fuse info.

Blue is 15 amp.

 

That is just the fuse makers using a different shade of blue.

I'm very slightly colour blind (or so my wife says), plus of course difference in photos and screens (my neighbour is colour blind and can't see red, and he said he wired his (BL) Mini).

 

So what colour is this then and amperage please?

Thank you so much for this, you have made my life so much easier. I searched high and low to find this, Google, Youtube everywhere! Had to sign up to this forum to get my answer which shouldn't have to be the case... definitely something they should be including in the owners manual.

If you did need these type documents, you can sign up on erWin Skoda for free, and then pay 7 Euro's to download wiring diagrams and workshop repair manuals for an hour.

 

You will have to determine which pages in that document apply, as there are several years covered.
