Alarm keeps going off

Around 30 seconds after it’s been locked the alarm goes off, pressing the button on the b pillar makes no difference and I’ve removed the fuse which has stopped the sound however the indicators are still going. Extremely frustrating as I can’t lock my key at the moment…any ideas?

Hia, just wondered if you ever resolved this? I have the octavia mk3 and about 30 seconds of locking the alarm goes off.

I've noticed it only does this if I leave and lock the car straight away. If I get the toddler out and put shopping away it rarely goes off. If I open and lock the car again it generally doesn't go off again... Bit odd!

I had same with estate and found a little plastic split in boot closure locking area that made the car think it was left open. Removed = fixed

Hia... After some experimentation I found my problem. It was my iCar Pro plugged into the obd2 port. It turns itself of after about 30 seconds of car being turned off. It seems this is enough to trigger the alarm! After unplugging it, no more alarm going off. Tested it for about a week... Cheers Nigel

I’ve got the same issue with a 2016 Octavia Estate.  Alarm randomly went off when were in the house.  Indicators flash and alarm sounds.  Unlocking the car turns it off.  Locking it again immediately starts the drivers side alarm led flashing, then the indicators flash and eventually the alarm sounds.

disabling the alarm using the drivers side door pillar button makes no difference.  The dashboard display flashes too and appears to indicate the boot area being the problem.  Read about the boot sensor but can’t see where it is located.
