Centre console USB dropping connection

Featured Replies

Just checking to see if anyone has had issues with the USB socket in the centre console?

Has been fine recently but today it decided it wouldn't connect to my wife's phone via Android Auto.  Charging is on and off as well and having now tried multiple cables and different phones it seems to be the socket.

I've had a go at tightening it up but has anyone had to replace one?  Presumably the body section of the workshop manual will include instructions for doing so...

Cheers

My iPhone will charge but Smartlink no longer works through the USB port. My Android phone doesn't connect either so I'm suspecting a faulty socket. It was all working fine a week ago and just stopped overnight.

So not helpful for your predicament but just wondering whether you'd made any progress.

Not really.  I've had a go at tightening the socket and rebending the pressure springs inside it which works for a few days but other that allive done is try and check parts costs...   Which seem to vary from about £20 to £50 depending on source...

Its still on my list though.
