Is there a how-to for engine removal? (2012 2.0 CFHC Manual)

Featured Replies

Hello, am new to Skodas, just having bought a 166k 2012 estate 2.0 diesel for my son.

Getting codes for EGR

P0401 (Confirmed) - Exhaust Gas Recirculation "A" Flow Insufficient Detected
P0403 (Confirmed) (Confirmed) - Exhaust Gas Recirculation "A" Control Circuit

And it also sounds like clutch / DMF wouldn't hurt to change.

And the suspension / bushes etc etc etc....

Given the amount of work needed to get at the EGR, I would prefer to remove the engine/gearbox and do all the jobs while it is out.

I have had a rummage through posts via Search but have not found anything so far.

Has anyone else done this or can point to any useful links please?

I have and engine crane/leveller so can lift up and out if possible.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, your best bet would be to create an account on erWin Skoda, there, armed with the VIN in a text file, you can download the list of build codes (PR codes) for the car (helpful to people in indentifiying parts) and then you can get all the repair/wiring diagrams for the car.

It will be in the documents the full removal process.
