Thermostat replacement Kodiaq 2018

Featured Replies

Hello,

I got my Kodiaq 2018, 2.0 4X4 overheating and had to tow it to a local garage. Now the garage came back with a technical analysis that the thermostat is the problem and that replacement will require parts + 4 hours of labour. Is this reasonable?

Thanks in advance!

Most of the overheating faults reported on here have been down to the variable sleeve on the water pump being the culprit, rather than the thermostat.

Almost definitely the water pump. Common fault (my 2.0 4x4 included). Just ask Google & you'll see!
