Anyone managed to solve this?

The seat probably needs the basic settings doing to learn the various end stops. I've done it with ODIS before but not tried with VCDS.

 

The headunit probably needs an adaption channel or two changing, post an adaption map from 5F.

I'd probably try changing:

IDE11524-ENG137044-Vehicle function list BAP 2nd generation: expansion-display_configuration_0x45_msg_bus

 

Try "Infotainment data bus" and clear the faults, if it keeps coming back, maybe try "not activated" and clear again.

 

If anything weird happens or you get loads errors, set it back to "Comfort data bus"...

0x45 display config is for the virtual cockpit.

Yeah! I retrofited the Mib 2.5 the 9.2" screen and the Virtual Cockpit

Possibly the wrong gateway module then if you arent getting the menu for display config.

expansion-display_configuration_0x45_msg_bus -> was something I turned on to show VC menu in the MIB. Not activated works perfectly! Dosent show the error. I never had the menu anyway.

Change it to not activated will only disable virtual cockpit customising menu, it won’t affect anything else

Having this "older" gateway the only differece will be not showing the menu in the MIB? Or I am missing more features?

Have you tried moving the lumbar to all its extreme positions and then pressing the button again once at its end stop.

Try this first, if not i can run you through the procedure to reset the calibration. 

 

Is the seat standard and unmodified or have you messed with anything?

I Tried that but without any success.  Norming fixed the other seat errors but not these ones.

Pull up the live data for both lumbar support motors and screenshot them here. 

It should show 4/5 pieces of live data per motor. 

Both end stop positions, current position, and possibly one more value?

 

EDIT: 

For each motor you should have Block 1, Block 2, Position, Direction, Reset Counter

3 things of note in the following;

 

  IDE06684-MAS05563   Lumbar support height adjustment-Norming never normed 
  IDE06684-MAS05719   Lumbar support height adjustment-Maximum travel 5164 
  IDE06685-MAS01390   Lumbar support longitudinal position adjustment-Block 1 65535 
  IDE06685-MAS01391   Lumbar support longitudinal position adjustment-Block 2 33200 
  IDE06685-MAS02282   Lumbar support longitudinal position adjustment-Position 29996 

The Block 1 and 2 are the max and min positions - these should be 0 unless youve already adapted them which i dont think so.

The norming never normed means that it doesnt know its end stops - this needs correcting by clearing ALL adaptations for the module, running the norming routine and running each axis to its end stops and then holding the button for a few further seconds in each stop.

The position is passed block 2 - this means that it can move past its defined end stop confirming the above. 

 

Basically you need to clear all adaptations, norm the Block 1 and 2 by moving all motors to end stop and then some, then finally run the ODIS routine if that doesnt resolve it.
