Yep, let me login today, but all data lost. Time for a strongly worded email! What concerns me is that the app used to 'back-up' its data all the time, so where is it? If skoda have 'lost' my name, phone number and VIN, I'll be going after them on GDPR failures! (and I want my points back too 🤬) 

Where do we stand if they've lost our data? After all, this is a service we've paid for?

Connect lite is free, yes you pay for the dongle, but the app is free

The app may be free, but without it, the dongle is useless, ergo, you pay for the service which should include the protection of your personal data, under UK/EU law anyway, I would presume 🤔

Misunderstanding.

I do not think data is lost, not sure but there might be some agreement at the beginning, which most likely covers a situation like this. As for data : VIN and license plate are public information, so might be phone number. This is not GDPR, and yes you do not pay for the service like MySkoda for example. I received the data Plug free, so have not spent anything. They are working on it and i would say they will fix it, the only question is when.

Does it work for everyone? I still get the data backup error and get logged out after that.

I think you're probably right, I just like taking any opportunity to have a go at corporate! 🤣😂🤣

It does not keep me logged in, i will not log in till they notify it is ok.

Any news from Skoda ? If i contact them from Romania they will not answer that fast

Still not keeping me logged in, funny though the app keeps reminding me to login to have all the benefits :).

I've sent them three emails and none have been answered. It seems to be working fine but I don't think that we will get our old data back.

So in your case everything is working (app remains logged in, trips are recorded)? Only very old data the is missing?

It was working but the last journey, today 11th March was not recorded. I don't know why. I was not logged out of the app. So I don't know what is happening. The whole thing is a mess.

 

It is not stable, not keeping me logged in. I had issues with trips not being recorded in the past, but less than 1%\month let's say.

Waiting for Skoda to fix this..someday.

Same here, I've sent numerous emails with no answer, and it keeps logging me out of the app.

Someday seems like a long time away.....

All my data is back, including profile picture and points. Also it keeps me logged in.

That's great, I'm pleased for you. Has anyone else got there's back? Mine still doesn't work properly.

Not sure if relevant, but deleted cache and accidentally all data so i had to pair again. And than suddenly it worked, i just logged in and forgot about it, when i checked i saw everything is back.

Lol I edited my post cos it appeared to be OK, then I looked at the trip and went to see what I could add - got this! Press 'coolant temp' and 'throttle position pops up! 😱🤬
