Wheel Width

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the maximum width wheel you can get on a Fabia without it rubbing?

I'd assume you need the right offset and all, but without rubbing at full lock and without really sticking out beyond the arches on the outside?

I run 7.5"x17" with 215/40/17" rubber. I think you may get 8"x 17" on but the tyre profile may be an issue............Mine are fine........No rubbing or catching on full lock but the car does follow "tram lines" in the road due to the wide tyres....Andy

I think its not just the width - its the offset too. I guess in theory you could have a 12" wide wheel sticking right out, as long as the offset meant it didn't rub the suspension strut, etc. I think that kind of setup though would be a little dodgy for daily driving. :D

I use 7.5s as well, and I think 8s would be OK too.

That's why I was looking for the widest you can fit inside the arches ;)

I'll think about 7.5's or 8's then. Was hoping 8's would fit, so if anyone has them do feel free to let me know if they're fittable.

Cheers for the help so far!
