Ordered my new VRS...

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Well after purchasing my first ever car / Skoda after passing my driving test two years ago, I've decided its time for a change and an upgrade, so I have placed my order for a brand spanking new Fabia VRS!

The test drive absolutely blew me away and although I knew the car was a beast, I didn't think it was such a monster! After stalling it twice  I managed the get the thing on the road and, I was hooked.

So, I placed my order and my new baby should be here end of June. I'm going to part exchange my current Skud and have ordered a few added extras - Black Magic Paint, Leather interior (yes I know seat surgeons do it cheaper but I wanted it "out-of-the-box" so to speak), Cruise Control, Stainless Steel Pedal Covers, Door Sill Covers with Steel inserts, Speaker Upgrades (Front and Tweeters), Xenons and of course, a full tank of Diesel :)

Tried to bargain for some back flaps but apparently they don't fit (???) and Red Seatbelts (yes, a long shot) but the dealer quoted me £600 for the belts  They're £90 each and the rest is labour...

I can certainly tell that I've been driving a pretty slow machine for the last couple of years now, but at 21 its not bad going, plus the insurance was high enough on my 1.9 SDI back then as it is!

I can't wait, I'm soooooo excited!

The pedal and sill covers are standard??

Also how did you manage all those options and only 4 weeks delivery?? the earliest i was quoted was 8 weeks for a factory order so i'm having mine for the 1st of Sept.

PS - I'm not having a go, just curious. ;)

Congratulations, thise 4 weeks are going to drag and drag! It'll be worth it in the end though.

LOL, s'ok, don't worry about it!

I didn't know if the pedal and sill covers were standard, so I ordered them anyway. If they are (could someone please clarify?) I'll make sure they don't charge me for them!

The dealer said there is a chance it would take longer but he reckoned 4 weeks would be about right, but then again, I had to practically drag him through the ordering process, it was as if he didn't want to sell me a car! So we can see what happens. Four weeks would be great, if its longer, I'm sure it will be worth it

Congratulations on the purchase.

Maybe you can post a review in the dealer reviews section once your purchase is complete, to advise us of your experience with that dealer?

I had that with my local dealer once... Very strange. In the end I gave up and went elsewhere and got a much better price and much better service!

Sill and pedal covers are standard... far as I know anyway. The bog standard demo car had them anyway.
