Pick up my vRS tomorrow

Featured Replies

Starting to get a bit excited already, I pick up my 04 Fabia vRS up tomorrow. Looking foward to the drive home. Already got a set of wheels/tyres line up for him. Was lucky enough to put in a warranty claim on an 11 month old set of TSW Cataluna's and when I explained I was changing cars they said thats alright would you like some that will fit the Fabia.............Lovely

Bet you cant wait!! I trust you'll be getting it remapped?

After 8 hours of ownership I have to say I'm mighty impressed, went down by train and picked the car up from down south and had the joys of the M25 to contend with this afternoon crawl crawl crawl go crawl etc got home @ 18:00 having clocked up 175 miles with the trip comp reading 52.1 MPG. Wheels are on and look brilliant, very pleased with choice of design.

Pictures please :)

I'm not normally impressed by aftermarket alloys on cars but those look great! They really suit the car.

That looks very nice. Almost identical to the VRS I am picking up on saturday (17/6). Personally I am not keen on those alloys but I do really like the stock ones. But each to their own on that front.

Hope you really enjoy the car.

A great looking set of alloys - good choice

Just needs lowering now ;)

They look different, without being obviously aftermarket...

Steve

EDIT: Knew something didn't look quite right. Thought I knew what Catalunas looked like, but yours are different! How come they don't look like http://www.wheelbasedirect.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=tscat

They are indeed Kyalami's, my fault did'nt explain very well, I bought a set of Catalunyas for my previous car and in between the faulty wheels going back to TSW and them giving me the yes they're faulty answer I'd made my mind up to change the car so they offered me new wheels to fit the vRS so I picked the Kyalami's as I thought they would suit the car, kind of OE looking (and I'd already had Catalunya's). Hope thats cleared that one up.

No worries mate, just thought I was going mad! Yes - the new ones suit the car very well

that's what i said, but according to my dad, that isnt going to happen, but then again, his last car was supposed to sstay standard!!

Think of lowering as a safety feature.... better handling, better safety  it's just a bonus that it looks good :D

I have to say though, I do like the wheels a lot and being a red vrs owner, it's nice to see what that style wheel looks like on the car..... are they 17"'s by the way?!?!? Ta

yeah.... we believe ya ;) Just had mine back from Jabba.... and I must say it is one ell of a smoth map.... the power is fantastic and no juder, clutch slippage or owt...... going to give it a few days and review it me thinks.... but.....

I do like those wheels and I want a set of 17's for summer use and pop the standard ones on over the winter or when I venture up to Scotland on the single lane tracks etc.... always thought I would go for a five spoke alloy but now I'm not quite so sure!!

Nice - what figures did you come away with?

185 Bhp & 306ib/ft torque..... there is a definate smile when hitting 2000rpm in any gear.... 2nd and 3rd are frightening  It takes a lot of effort to resist the urge to go out every 5 minutes to have another blast around the block :D

The rolling road graph is here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/fabia/another-jabba-powered-vrs/55813/
