MIB Unit Colour Without Ambient Lighting

Featured Replies

Hi All.

My 2015 Octavia (with retrofitted MIB2) doesn’t have ambient lighting at all, let alone the ability to change the colour.

I am interested to see whether it’s possible however to make the MIB unit “think” they are installed so I can change the colour of the display as it would to match the interior colour etc. if it had the lights.

Don’t know whether this would open a can of worms however as there could be a possibility of the CANBUS moaning there is a light fault (as they don’t obviously exist).

Cheers for the advice.
