Digital dash

Featured Replies

Just placing order with amundsen plus,  can you confirm it has digital dash?  What concerns me is I see some advertised worth this  used with but looking at pics it's the old non digital dash

Amundsen is the infotainment in the centre (the screen with radio and maps etc.

It is completely separate unit to dashboard dials behind the steering wheel, so what is fitted as a dash is not linked

Amundsen Package Plus (£600)

The main reason to opt for the Amundsen Package Plus (£600) is that it gives the Karoq a digital instrument display that shows a wealth of information, including your sat-nav map

I think I've read elsewhere that Karoqs now come with a digital instrument panel rather than the analogue one as standard. But some people are querying whether it is a smaller and simpler unit than the one that was optional for my MY21 car. I wonder if the cost of the Amundsen Plus option is justified by including the bigger one, that lets you display the map at the centre of the instrument panel rather than on the central display?

I suspect you need to visit a dealer and look at showroom Karoqs to get the answer - and don't believe a salesman unless he can prove what he tells you!

As I understand it the ‘Amundsen Plus Package’ at £600 gives you the larger (10.25”) Virtual Cockpit with the ability to have maps displayed and lots more customisation.

All new 23MY Karoq models should now come with a smaller (8”) virtual cockpit as standard, this has less functionality and isn’t able to display maps like the 10.25” version.

I’ll be picking up my Karoq next week and it will have the smaller 8” virtual cockpit. There isn’t a lot of information around on it at the moment as I found out when I was looking for details about it.
