Vibration on acceleration in 4th and 5th gears

Hi, I changed the exterior LH CV joint and waiting to change the other (not clicking yet but cracked boot). There is a vibration on accelerating on  4th and 5th gears which goes away if I lift the gas pedal. I am wondering if I should be replacing the whole shaft.

The inner CVs have good boots, but show a bit of dried grease where the bolts are. Any ideas?
