Hi guys , Iam actually no Skoda owner but a good friend of mine told me to ask in your forum.  He told me that there is so many good people in here with a lot of knowledge ,so I am taking a chance I am in need of the update "mhig_eu_vw_k1550" for my Discovery Pro in my Golf . I've searched the internet and all the links are broken . Is there any kind soul out there that could point me in the right direction ? Thank you for taking your time to read .

I found the file downloaded to sd card (non original one as I lost the original card) but failed. Anyone has any idea? Thank you very much in advance.

 

I was able to update. However there is still no sound. Any idea what oher causes might be?

Thanks for the reply. The sound was coming and going before. Where should I look in HW? Any tips? Any links? (I did a bit of online search but could not find reliable info).

I don't know such link... if you are familiar with soldering you should have no issues with disassembling, re=soldering and re-assembling the unit.

I have electronics repair shop in neighbourhood. I can remove the HW and take it there but which part do you think might have the problem so I can remove and take it there ti fix?

 

There are two power amplifier ICs, they will find them easily, no worries

I just got a reply from electronician in neighborhood. He sayd video card is mulfunctioning and need to be replaced. I am confused as we do not have video playing function on golf 7 mib 1. 

MIB1 Discover Pro has the feature of playing video files. But I'm surprised with such finding as so far for each and every unit with such problem I have ever had the problem was linked to powers amplifier ICs.

Same thing for me on my Golf MK7 GTD from 2014 having random sound issues and woulf like to try a firmware update before 

proceding to HW replacement. However as many of us already experienced, i am having a pretty hard time finding SW_MHIG_EU_VW_K1550_0407 firmware.
