Paddywhack

Hi, my Skoda superb 2010 (Mk 2) has a problem with the drivers door handle. It will not open from the outside with the key fob or by using the key. I have to either roll down the windows to activate the interior handle or get into the car through the passenger door to open the drivers door. I have taken out the lock barrel to check if cable is faulty but can’t see any sign of a cable. I have seen videos where a cable with a serrated end is attached to door handle but my handle doesn’t seem to be this type.

any help with this issue will be very much appreciated.
