Towards the end in the Q&A section, it’s confirmed that the new Kodiaq and Superb will have PHEV powertrains with 100km range! Great news.

Great news.

...until they reveal the price! The current Superb PHEV (218hp) is approx. 12.5% more than the 200hp petrol version (in Sportline+ trim, anyway - in SE Tech, it's 23% more than the only petrol engine available).

That would likely make a PHEV Kodiaq vRS nudge a £60k base price, taking into account normal price rises between now and when it will be launched, and then the extra for the PHEV drivetrain.

There is a likelihood that it will cost extra.

A 100km plug in range is more an electric car with a range extender engine.

Not clear to me if that is a useful combination for many people compared to a petrol engine (because they have no where to plug it in) or a full electric with 300km (200 mile) range (now high speed chargers on main road service stations etc, are more common)
