Boot sensor faulty

Featured Replies

Hello hello all,

Had a wondering constant pinging on the drive home today due to the car thinking that the boot is opening and closing while on the move.

Already plugged in the old OBD reader and getting a fault on the boot/tailgate.

0069

B120c11: sensor 1 for rear hatch position short circuit to ground.

Had a bit of a look around online and it suggests the sensor, though I'm not too sure if that's in the latch it's self or the actuator above it.

Don't suppose any of you fine users have any insights to this?

Tis a uk superb hatch 2018

The sensor/switch is built into the latch itself yeah :) would need replacing as a whole if that is the actual faulty part.

So an odd update to this today. Was sat on a dull 12 hour day shift and decided to take a punt at changing the LED bulbs that were put into the boot lights back to the standard bulbs.

And boot sensor worked again and fault has disappeared.

Wasn't expecting that to work. Think it may be time to switch em all back after reading the recommended bulbs thread!
