Hi everyone I have recently feb 4  ordered a new 2023 kodiaq sportline but the dealership when I originally ordered it said it would be delivered within 12-14 weeks but I saw my salesperson shopping the other day and he said it’s likely to be delayed possibly into September as you can imagine I’m thinking they said 12-14 weeks to get a sale I’m a bit upset is there anything I could do to find out some kind of delivery times

re the build delay, sadly this is commonplace with almost any manufacturer BUT one way of short circuiting the system is to see if there are any new “immediate availability” cars that you could get instead. This sometimes means a compromise on some of the bells and whistles - but personally I’m very impatient so have gone down this route before. (My current car was bought on this basis, seen on a Friday, paperwork done and good to go in a couple of days. All the essentials were there but ideally I’d have liked a heated steering wheel and reverse camera - but I was happy to forego them for zero delay)

 

Looking at the Skoda site this morning there are 44 Kodiaq Sportline listed for immediate availability so might be worth looking at the list and seeing if one of those would suit you better, and getting your chosen dealer to see if he can get hold of the car for you. Or how amenable they would be to cancelling the order leaving you free to go elsewhere for one of the available cars.
