fuel cover not flush with car

Featured Replies

Just cleaning the furby yesterday and noticed that the fuel cover isn't flush with the car any more. It is practially constantly open as the level to open it doesn't click when its pulled and the cover won't click shut!!!! Has anyone had this problem before?? Looks like a trip to the dealer is needed!

Have a little searcj with the fuel cap release cable, it might have got stuck in it's "open" position

  • Open boot
  • Pull back carpet on right hand side
  • Look for the fuel filler cable
  • Its probably popped out of its hole. ;)
  • Shove it back in again (needs some twisting and pushing, like a bayonet bulb)

Should sort it. :)

or warranty will cover it

True, but for 5 minutes work (if that) it saves the hassle of going to a dealer, booking in, etc. Lot to be said for DIY on some little niggles. :)

Genius! Job Done. I had seen it before when changing the rear speakers but didn't touch it as wasn't sure exactly what it was! Back then (about 2months ago) come to think of it, it wasn't actually properly fixed then - it was completely out!

Cheers for that!
