Hi. i would like to ask if anyone have tried to swap gear box in skoda fabia 2 1.2 HTP 44kw 2008? right now i have (R+ 5 gears) and i want to make swap for gear box from stronger engine (1.4) its (R+6 gears). anyone knows if its possible? 

It's not a very good idea, the 1.2 engine is so slow it'll struggle to pull the higher gearing.

Oh :(( that sucks. It’s my main issue with this car 170 kph and that’s all :(( annoying. 

If you want to drive at more than105 mph why did you buy a Fabia 1.2?

Put smaller wheels on it so the speedo says you are going faster 🤣

 

At least that would actually work and not involve loads of time and labour for nothing.

Is the top gear a different ratio or the final drive gearing different?
