Replace Ecu immo off

Featured Replies

Hi!

I want to replace my ecu with another one that has the immobilizer data removed. Is it just plug and play? Can I just plug in the old one again and it will all work if I encounter any problems with the "new" one?

Best regards

If you have cruise control it may need re-enabling on the new ECU, this can be done with VCDS.

Your speedometer will continue to show your vehicles mileage but if anyone uses the check function in VCDS it will show the mileage (kilometrage actually) and operating hours of the donor vehicle which could be higher or lower.

Other than that it is plug and play.

I didn't need to plug in my old one but it would have worked as before.

Good luck with the theft of the new vehicle 🤣
