1.2 TSI shuts down after start and could not be started again

Featured Replies

Hello!

I have been having a problem with my car for a month now, specifically with the 1.2 TSI 77kW CBZB engine. A month ago, it happened to me that after starting the car, after a few seconds, it spontaneously shut down at idle.

The start was no longer successful on the first attempt, but only on the tenth or so. I've already tried all sorts of basic things like changing the fuel filter, changing the timing chain, filling up with different gasoline. And unfortunately, nothing helped.

You can see the problem in the video I am posting below.

I will be very grateful for any advice.

Put away the parts cannon, and get the fault codes read by someone competent.

I was on diagnostics and no fault codes were found.

I'd guess at an immobizer issue there and the key not being recognised.   Might be worth checking the antenna on the ignition barrel?

Thanks for the info, I'll try to check out the immobilizer.

Just for additional information, two months ago my car was twitching while driving and it was solved by cleaning the throttle. After that it didn't do it anymore, only the start still stalls.

Hello, did you solve the problem, because I have the same problem and it shuts off while driving. The computer does not give any error. I hope you will see this message.
