Inner bonnet covers

Featured Replies

Hi team,

I bought an RS in 2017, and later a Kodiaq for the Mrs last year, relatively comparable. In a recent comparison of underneath each hood, I noticed a couple of covers missing on my RS, which I bought new from the dealer, compared to the Kodiaq. I don't suppose these were intentional oversights, however I gather the under bonnet dust cover, and rear panel dust cover ought to be there. Anyone know any reason why they would not be on the RS? If they should exist, anyone know where I could find them to buy? I am located in Queensland, Australia

From my experience, on the Octavia, only the TDI has the Bonnet cover, not the TSI. I got a 2014  TSI new from the dealer and baught a cover from super Skoda as it didn't have it.

As above, only the TDi tends to get the under bonnet cover as it's purpose is sound deadening. I think the part number is 5E0863831A.

Both your picture show the 'rear dust cover' is fitted. The clips are just in different places as the Kodiaq has a larger lip to hide them under :)

My 2019 1.5tsi has the under bonnet cover and the rear dust cover fitted from new.

Neither my 2015 1.4TSI nor my 2016 1.8TSI had the under bonnet pad, so I bought and fitted them.

The 2015 1.4TSI didn't have an engine cover either so I got a VW badged one and a Skoda bonnet badge and fitted them too.
