OK... latest update, they are taking it back into the garage today to start fitting the new gearbox.... driveshaft arrives tomorrow morning, and I can apparantly have it back tomorrow at 2pm! woot!

I think thats a massive  on all parts really. I know you have lost business, but I think you've received good service to be honest... :)

With all this talk of Skoda not honoring warranties, I think they have done the decent thing for once.

If your car has duel controls, doesn't this mean it's been 'modified'.!

yes, they've done a good job, so credit to Skoda, and to Bickertons....

my problem is, two missed driving tests, reputation affected by this, and the business works on reputation, last weeks diary = 31 hours, next weeks diary = 12 hours.... massive damage to my business :( just need to find some new pupils now, and hope I don't break down again! problem is I need to pick it up now, or could end up going under for this, the two missed tests were for pupils doing intensive courses with lots of hours put in! the intensive courses are done to a deadline due to pupil circumstances, and those deadlines have been missed, and are now ruined. (one pupil was pregnant, and is now due so wont be carrying on, the other was at uni in Sheff, and she's now going home!) :( anyone want to learn to drive?! ah bugger, you all already do! ;)

yaktrebor: my car isn't modified, so warrenty shouldn't have been a problem, but you are right with the duels, however I bought the car from Skoda with them fitted by skoda, so I guess you'd call this a skoda approved mod ! :)

I hope that you have told Skoda UK this.

I know they read this , so if you need to keep your reputation too....you know what you need to do ;)

well I've emailed the customer service, and given a day by day account of the lessons that had to be cancelled, the tests that had to be cancelled, the loss of business ect, and counted the cost in figures for them.... just waiting for a reply now... (and thanks for your advice Sarah!)

ok... another update, Skoda (Bickertons) will be delivering my car to me at 3pm this afternoon, nice of them to bring it over :)

Sharkrider, they must have it hidden down the back of the service bays somewhere because I just had a quick peek while I'm waiting for them to work on mine!! :)

lol... small world eh? they did have it parked at the top against the wall past the service bays (all the bits hanging out of the bonnet! :( ) he told me they are ready to road test it, so it must be nearly done.... I'm gonna be SO happy to have my car back..... just to be able to work again will be a relief! :o

Oh well I may get :flamed: but hey

Skoda UK did used to pay for taxis being off the road by form of replacemnt car or by compensation , but that was a bit back.

Have not been in the Skoda dealership working for nearly 2 years now , but it was something that was covered then , not sure if they still do that.

Ooops but I dont work for Skoda anymore

lol.... I have emailed them, I'll let you know the results. They only way I could find to e-mail them was the 'feedback' form on the official web-site.... does anyone know a direct e-mail address that I can reach skoda customer services on?!
