What should be in this cubby hole / storage area?

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Another question for you knowledgeable lot, Octavia mk3 estate, what should be in this cubby hole area? It's the right side of a UK estate. The left side has a plastic insert making a nice little storage area, this area has nothing and some ventilation holes above?!

Can I get a little insert too make it a storage bin?

Thanks all!

Correct.

And the two other straps on the left of the pic are for a warning triangle

Perfect. Thanks for that! Why are there hokes cut out at above it? Odd?!

Is there a plastic panel I can get to put there so it's more storage?

Ventilation, there are membrane flap vents behind the bumper to expel air and for when you close a door.

I have a foot pump where the first aid kit should be and a warning triangle in the other strap.

Cheers

OP are you talking about this plastic bit that goes below the first aid kit?

I suspect the OP hasn't got the false floor.

No not that, I don't have the false floor unfortunately! I just wondered if I could somehow partition the area off to make a little storage bin like on the other side. Thanks though

Slightly off topic. but does anyone know the part number for the the bit of plastic on the LHS as per the non false floor fitment?.

For info, here it is I was after. It seems it's not standard and a few people have done a DIY job screwing brackets into the car and fixing in place as there's no brackets for it to fit In from what I can figure, probably not worth the effort for me!

What fits in the false floor plastic thing. Is there space to hold the retractable shelf when stored under the floor ? And what else ? 🤔

There is a standard part that fits there.
