2010 VRS rough running after replacing injectors

Featured Replies

Hi All

My 2010 Octavia VRS petrol started running rough a few weeks back.  It’s worse when it’s cold and more noticeable when accelerating.  Seems to settle down once engine is fully warmed up after 15-20 mins.  It’s done a fair amount of k’s 250k km’s (160k miles) but I look after it and drive with reasonably light foot.

Replaced the injectors and had a full service, this has helped in the past when I had similar issues but this time it’s still running rough when cold.

my next steps are replacing coils and fuel pump.

any other ideas from the brains trust??

Give it an Italian tune-up and see what like.

Mine runs like a bag of crap when cold when the PCV has failed, change mine for the third time this weekend actually.

Test seems to be, pull the dipstick out when its running, if there is no change the PCV is knackered, if it does change then either the PCV is good or its behaving at that particular moment.

Or could it be one of the injector seals not quite fitted properly?
