Drivers side Xenon light completely stopped working?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

was driving in the dark yesterday and noticed my drivers side xenon light wasn't working on my 2012 MK2.. and got a warning light on the dashboard

I've swapped the lights over and the passenger side works with that sides connector, so it must be an issue with the actual bulb unit.

Am I looking at a replacement or is there a common fault/fix I can try?

Cheers!

Could be either the bulb or the ignitor unit, I would try a bulb swap first to see if it is just a blown bulb.

Ah good idea.. slow moment thought xenon lights were one sealed unit! cheers

As long as you disconnect the whole headlight unit from the car you should be fine to open up as xenon bulbs does involve high voltages so need to be careful.   I think there are a few torx screws to remove before they you can access the bulb.
