I have had situations where the boot lid would not close or open partially and get stuck. If I were to press the boot open button it just beeps and don’t move. Only way to close the lid is is to manually do it.

but few days ago the boot would not shut at all what so ever. It rained that day and I presume it’s due to water ingress . Today the boot opens fine.  Wondering if anyone has the same encounter. 

booked skoda vehicle inspection to sort this out. dont think its moisture related as its happening regardless of the weather. 

Could be a simple fix like this…

i have cleaned all the debris, but it still does it. 

Skoda replaced the faulty tail gate strut. It’s working fine now.
