Anyone how to turn the 3 flash inicator function on and off with VAGCOM???

i seem to remember someone telling me they'd done it.

You can do it in my octy through the maxidot menu. If i didn't have maxidot i'd have to get the dealer to turn it on through Vag-COM. Not sure about Furbies though.

What is maxidot? Would a TT have it?

old tt has midline type thats 1/2 the size of maxidot. new tt has smaller maxidot. ie same resolution as maxidot but smaller display. You can see what it looks like in This thread.

You need the car to be stationary. hold down the toggle switch on the end of the stalk. This gets you into the main menu. Then scroll to 'vehicle settings' (i think) and select using the button below the stalk. Scroll to 'convenience indicator' and select it. then just change setting to 'on'.

Based on your signature you do have a Fabia, not 100% sure here, but as far as I know the Fabia does not come with a MaxiDot menu which allows you to alter such settings.

Anyway, this 3 flash indicators can be activated in 09 (central electronics) > 10 (adaptation) > channel 006. The early control modules up to index B were not capable of this function, while some of the modules from index C and above allow to beeing reflashed by your dealer to activate this function. If you are unsure what you got, post a VAG-COM Auto-Scan from your car.

Cheers. I do have a Fabia but it is for a mate of mine who has VAGCOM and a TT.

The TT (8N) definitly doesn't have a menu in the instrument cluster, the new TT (J) does but this isn't even being delivered yet. Also the electronics of the TT (8N) is completely different and it doesn not have electronically controlled lights, which means there is no way that either a cluster menu or a VAG-COM mod could activate comfort blinkers (3 flash indicators).
