Skoda Octavia VRS has no Mode button

Featured Replies

Hi!

The car is Skoda Octavia VRS, 2013, 135kw, 2.0tdi non-facelift model.
But it does not have Mode/Vrs button.
Did some models came without that button?
And can i add it and Drive Mode selection?
I ask because sometimes i wish i could select Eco for coasting, i dont like the engine braking in the busy city traffic.
Right now i have only Drive, Sport and Manual from the gearlever but no infotainmaint screen option.

put 'D' to 'N' and coast

^^^ Coast as in go into Neutral as in rolling along.   Nothing to do with 'Coasting mode' as in the car disengages gear and reengages with a touch of the accelerator or brake pedal.

@VenomVrshas your car a DSG?

Depends on market as I assume you don't have a UK car?

As for retrofitting, I believe it needs a FeC/SWaP code to function. You'd need to ask a local retrofit expert for more details I expect.

exactly the same result, just activated manually

@VenomVrs

recent years DSG equipped cars have got coasting in 'D' mode by default
there is coding to disable coasting, maybe you can find similar parameter and change it opposite way

Thank you all for answering!
Its a DSG car.
And its not an UK car.

I just got an ObdEleven device, gonna check maybe i can navigate to  ''Module 19 - Gateway>Long Coding>FPA Funktion Freilauf DefaultON>Not Active'' and see what option the car has right now.
