Superb mk3 - 7 gear auto dry clutch

Featured Replies

Car has done 50 000. I am starting to hear problems when auto changes from 2nd to 3rd.

Yesterday the gearbox overheated in a long queue on motorway.

What is my best course of action?

Welcome.

A diagnosis is required.

You had best go to a local Automatic Gearbox Specialist with experience of DQ200 DSG's.

But before that maybe say here which engine you have, how old the car is, and how long you have had it.

Going to a Skoda Main Dealership might be a waste of money, but where did you buy the car and how long ago / miles ago?

There is a service campaign on DQ200's 2013-2015.  '34H5' that is a software update.

That would be with some 1.4 TSI,s or 1.6 TDI's from those years.

Do you have a 1.5 TSI ACT with a DSG?

This is why it is important. & why you might need only to deal with a Main Dealership.    Repair might well be very very expensive.

A correct Diagnosis is critical.   Also keeping a record of communications and have it all in writing, and peoples names, job position etc. talk with Trained Technicians not trained or untrained receptionists or even Work Shop Managers.

Many thanks for responding so quickly. Yes it is a 1.5 TSI.

What do you recommend?

I was doing a scan of my car using a VAS5054a interface with ODIS and surprisingly found transmission related DTCs. It is very strange that recently car made a trip to skoda dealer and they didn't say a thing abt this. My luck may have run out..i wanted to get opinion on this. I did not feel difference in how the car drives so not sure this would all come down to replacing clutch. The car has run 45,000 kms and clutch replacement on such low run car is very unfortunate. Btw i spoke to a local garage guy who specialises in dsg..he is suspecting the clutch might need a replacement.
