Question for y'all: when will the new shape Fabia be introduced?

The launch schedule is still secret, but Skoda has confirmed the Fabia will go on sale in the UK in 2007.

The current Fabia hatch will end production at the end of December this year. Not been confirmed but it is likely therefore that the new model will be presented at the Paris Motorshow at the end of September with build starting January 2007.

We'll probably get it in the UK by June 2007?

The new Fabia will get TSI engines and the DSG gearbox whilst the 140BHP 2.0TDI has also been rumoured, perhaps together with the 1.4TSI for the new vRS?

Autoexpress today has a two page feature on the new polo, in with it is a box about the new fabia, it says it will be released in early 2007, AND the will be a fast diesel vRS

If there will be a 2.0 TDI, i might wait for it.

Or maybe buy a vRS just when the new model arrives, prices will be low then for "previous" model...

my thoughts exactly, I'm looking at changing mine next april, will have to decide whether to go for the new one (especially if it hat the 170 bhp engine!) or get a last of line model cheap

Residuals will be even lower too

New one might have a stronger gearbox if it's mated to the 2.0 lump

I doubt it will have the 170BHP engine as thats going into the Octy VRS isn't it? (as a diesel alterative to the 2.0T)

I would have thought the 2.0TDI unit would be a good bet.

I've heard that the new Fabia will be available for us to order in January 2007 and the first ones should arrive around March 2007. The Fabia vRS won't be produced for about another year after and they will continue to build the vRS Fabia during that time - like the Octavia vRS did.
