Skoda Dance works without code, but need to know code

Featured Replies

I have a Skoda Fabia MkII 2009 with a Skoda Dance (technisat Single DIN with dual face) it works in my car without having been connected for 2+yrs.

I wanted to stick it in a MkII 2007 with a broken Dance (dual DIN) but it is in safe mode.

I tried the code under the VIN in the 2009 service manual, didn't work

I also have 2 numbers on the spare keys. one on a sticker and one written but neither of them work.

When I put back the original dance in the 2007, it started in safe mode, and successfully unlocked using the code under the VIN in the service manual for that car.

When i put back the original dance in the 2009, it automatically unlocks with going into safe more.

so, two questions;

a) is it possible to retrieve the code when it is already unlocked.

b) if one of the 3 numbers I have is correct for the 2009, why wouldn't it work in the 2007. both are 5J
