skoda fabia mk 4 locking nut key code location

Featured Replies

Hi All

When I picked up my new Fabia color , it had a spare tyre kit installed instead of puncture repair kit which I requested

Have locking nut but don't know if locking nut has a code incase it gets lost ? Anyone know if / where locking code location is ?

Also think that dealer has fitted wrong spare wheel kit as one fitted has a screw to hold tyre in place and Fabia has nothing to screw bolt in  so spare tyre not secured ....

Spare tyre Kit fitted by garage  is  6V0 093 860Awhich to me appears the kit for a Fabia mk 3 ....

Love the car , but hand over was terrible

Many thanks Steve

Tell the Dealer Principal that their employee was lax and for safety the spare should be bolted down.

They should have done the job correctly and pointed out if you needed to pay more for another part that never came with the kit.

No idea where you get the Code for your locking nut other than the Dealership trying their set on until you get the correct one,

or take a picture of the nut and you get charts showing which is which when you want to order a replacement, or extra one.

Think I've found it using a magnifying glass can see a letter stamped on locking nut

BTW it was the dealer principle who fitted spare wheel !

Cheers Steve

Hi You are correct the locking nut key is identified by a number or letter.Your dealer can supply a new one using the number or letter.Write it down for safe keeping ,just incase.Cheers Andy
