Ive got a problem with a nokia 6280, in that the charge jack has broken, so need a new charger socket but cant for the life of me find a place to get one, any idea's chaps?

Even if you got the charging socket, it will be more hassle to dismantle and replace it inside the phone yourself. The phone is under warranty so you should just get it repaired by Nokia.

Take it to the shop you bought it from or your nearest Nokia service centre to get it repaired.

The jack is a v easy change over on most nokia phones I have seen, however if it's under warrenty just get it done by them as they will most likely replace the whole board rather than just the socket.

Its with 3 network and they want nothing to do with the warrenty or charge me 55 quid for changing something the size of a small pea. Told em where to go. Thieving scrotes.

Simple question - is it less than a year old?

If so, bypass '3' and goto the Nokia website. Find the nearest Nokia Service Centre to you (may well actually be a Carphone Warehouse branch) and ring them, detailing the problem. You'll then be able to drop it into them and get them to sort it under warranty. Courtesy phones are available from them.
