10119 High Pressure Fuel Rail P00C6 - Minimum Pressure not reached

Featured Replies

Hi, got this code on VCDS after changing the fuel filter on Fabia 1.6 Tdi.

Thought it maybe something to do with how I primed the filter?

First I tried turning key, from off to position 1, 10 times. with both in and out hose connected to filter. It started, then cut out straight away. I repeated this . car wouldn't start.

Second I used VCDS to prime filter, with only the in hose connected. Fuel came out of filter immediately. (Im guessing the first method had worked), Reconnected hose car wouldn't start.

Got both methods off you tube.

Before the fuel filter I did an oil change however car started fine after that.

Any help would be much appreciated  Thanks

Can the fuel filter be fitted the wrong way round?

No not really possible.

After reading my own post, I think I have got air into the Rail/injectors priming with method 1

What a donut

Am reluctant to keep turning it over until I get advise from someone who knows what they're doing.

Any help much appreciated

I can't believe you had the exact tool you needed to do the job right and you have completely fluffed it up!

There is not much else you can do apart from crank at this point, it will go eventually. WOn't do the HPFP much good if it has been run dry or is airlocked though

The high pressure fuel system cannot airlock, it's self-bleeding, just crank it until it goes, shouldn't take long.

Can you not crack off slightly each injector nut until the air bleeds out of the system like you do with old diesel engines

No, it's a common rail silly, fuel pressure is thousands of bar so it's incredibly unsafe.
