Hello all

 

I'm new here, UK-based, looking for a new family wagon to replace our long-term and much loved Ford S-Max with something a bit larger than the certrificate of destruction.

 

I have a long list of demands from the family - must be a Superb Mk3 estate, L&K, petrol 4x4 with pale interior, a sunroof and not white or red.

 

From my point of view, no accidents, FSH and up to 60000 miles would be good.

 

If anyone knows of somebody who has one and might be thinking of selling please let me know. I've signed up for Freedom, don't know if I can receive DMs as yet. Thanks very much

My old Superb 280 was with Cazoo and fitted that description but looks like it might have sold now. Was Business Grey over cream with sunroof and many other options.

Thanks, yes I think I saw that one online but it was showing as reserved. A shame as it would have been just about perfect.  How did you get on with it?

It was a great car and I really enjoyed it, surprised quite a few people with how quick it is! Had full MD history too although their advert didn't say so. Only thing that grated was the 25mpg around town and since a lot of our driving is around town, we decided to go electric on salary sacrifice instead.

Thanks AyB, that's really helpful. We have a small electric car for short trips around town. The Superb would be for long hauls. Were you seeing more like 35mpg on motorways when not being 'enthusiastic'?

Yes, a long run with a gentle right foot and some 50/60mph roadworks would see 38+. My best was 41mpg over a 200 mile journey!

what bhp was that, I'm looking at a 2 litre estate but was hoping for a lot better mileage. I'm worried now.   🙂 190 sel diesel

A 280 Superb is around the 276bhp mark.  It's also petrol, and 4x4.  Nothing like a 190 diesel.  41mpg out of a 280 is good going
