I have seen a few postings regarding faulty electric tailgates ( and expensive repairs). I currently have a Karoq on order with an electric tailgate. Had an MB for some years with a powered tailgate and no issues. Should I be worried about potential problems here?

Sorry, I only have Kodiaq experience.

 

I’m on my third one now and never had a problem in over 6 years. Around 60K miles.
