Good day,

When I turn on the ignition, the ESP light does not show up and the ESP button is basically just a decoration even though I replaced  it with a new one (I press it, hold it for a few seconds, click it, etc.). Nevertheless, I don't feel that the ESP is malfunctioning while driving (no tire slip on launch or anything like that).

In the service, I was told that ESP on my car simply cannot be turned off, but somehow it doesnt make much sense to me.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem of "invisible" ESP?

What icon is on the button?

ASR, ESP, or a slipping car?

Even thought ESP would not be deactivated, the button should work for the ASR but as this is a 4x4, may not.
