Skoda Octavia 1.9 cut out won't start

Featured Replies

Car started going into limp mode in 3rd and 4th gear 2 days ago uphill and on flat .. only happen once each time . Came out morning after battery was dead had to jump start .

Started slow this morning but not anything that worried me .. and drive around 10 15 miles and car started to splutter like was out fuel (diesel) but conked seconds later with half tank . Tried to start it twice and no luck started 3rd time but again died after not even a mile started on a jump off another diesel and died once pedal was decompressed. Wouldn't start again towed home and diesel pump was changed started on a jump for around 10 minutes before white smoke started and cut off straight away . No oil lights no engine lights came on nothing and dipped for oil below mark line .. any idea please !

Welcome.

Others might be able to help.

How many km has this engine done and has it been good running up until this point in time?

Is the Low oil a red herring or an issue?

When was the oil level checked and at the right level?

?

What is the reason for the flat battery, is it as simple as a battery going dead?

Other symptoms like smoke quantity, engine runaway?
