Hello all. I’ve just joined and fancy getting a used Kodiaq so need to do some reading up on trims, engines and options.  Curiously I can’t find a single one for private sale, have times changed and it’s dealer only these days? Best regards, Smeg.

I can't imagine buying (or selling) a high-value car privately, so I can't comment on the numbers of them about.

As awful as some car dealers are, they (sometimes) can at least be held to account.

Yes that’s the thing, the risk is lower but the price is greater. I’ve bought two £20k cars for cash privately though. Got good deals and it all went well,  it one was paying off someone’s HPI and that was a nervy moment as at that point he could have just left me high and dry!
