Changing a broken grille and surround

Featured Replies

Hi,

some kind person broke my grille and the chrome surround.

I’ve bought a surround from eBay and a grille from Skoda.

ive seen a video for the mk3 and a Kodiaq … but not a mk4.

Can it be done without removing the whole bumper … can it be a DIY job?

thanks in advance

The bumper needs to be removed.

Also be very careful not to disturb the front assist radar unit. Recalibration will be required if you do.

So I’ve bottled doing it myself… Skoda wanted 2 hours labour at an eye watering £230.

Two local body shops… one said £150, the other £100. The second one had an Octavia driver in the workshop. He said two hours but if it took less time he’d charge me less.

And all said it was a bumper off job.
