Yes you put a thin body tool down the outer end of the s/s button and gently lever it upwards or you cna do it at the other end which is a bit more solid   The whole piece comes out and you will find you have to carefully tuck the cable in and under the whole thing as there isnt much room in there

Did you get it to work because I have the cable fitted but it doesnt work

Usually the cable has 3 modes. Have you changed to a memory or shutdown s&s mode?

Hi all,

Late reply, but I have installed this auto s/s module and have it in Memory Mode. However the light on the button stays ON with the car turn OFF. Normal?

TIA

Today we installed it at my friend's car and after tinkering around we locked the car and the button was still glowing orange. After we unlocked and turned on and off the ignition and locked them again, and everything was ok - meaning the button was not glowing at all. I told him to monitor. Have you resolved your issue?

Yesterday we set the cable in memory mode, though it was initially in the same mode and since then it behaves as it should be. It's off when you start the car and not illuminating when you lock the car.

I heard that sometimes, depending on the examinator you can fail MOT with this feature! So far, I've passed it with flying colors. Do you put it in the original mode before MOT?

Tried those instructions without success but will have another go
